Questions
& Answers About Lawn Care Program
Are all
the treatments necessary?
Answer: Each
treatment is seasonally designed to take
care of your lawn’s needs at the precise
time they need attention. Taking less than
the full program can compromise the quality
of your lawn.
Will my
lawn be totally weed and insect free?
Answer: No lawn
care service can promise this – not even the
finest lawn care service When Nature Calls.
By using the very best of materials, we feel
that we can reduce the population of weeds
and insects to the point that they are not
visually noticeable or damaging. If at any
time, you feel the treatments are not
effectively managing the weed and insect
populations, please give us a call.
Are the
materials that When Nature Calls uses
harmful to my pets or children?
Answer: When
Nature Calls uses only the safest materials.
All of these materials are registered with
the Environmental Protection Agency for use
on turfgrasses and are applied in strict
accordance with the labels. When possible,
keep off the lawn for about an hour after
application. This will allow the material to
dry enough for continued enjoyment of your
lawn.
Does
When Nature Calls guarantee its service?
Answer: Yes!
When Nature Calls guarantees your
satisfaction. The key to our success is
service. We pride ourselves with supplying
you with the finest lawn care service
available. If you have a problem, all you
have to do is call us; we’ll be right out.
Even if we have to repeat your application,
your satisfaction is our primary aim.
What if
I can’t water my lawn?
Answer: If you
cannot water your lawn due to its size, a
water shortage, or for other reasons, the
treatments will still be effective. However,
your lawn may go semi-dormant or lose some
of its color during hot and dry weather.
Will I
be left instructions after each treatment?
Answer: Yes,
your When Nature Calls representative will
leave you with instructions and a full
explanation of the treatment at the time of
each service. We may also make certain
recommendations on mowing, watering,
thatching, and other cultural care aspects.
Please follow these instructions and
recommendations when possible to maximize
the results of the service. If for some
reason you cannot follow the instructions on
watering, the treatments will still be
effective, but the reaction time may slow
down.
Will
rainfall immediately after an application
affect my lawn treatment?
Answer: Don’t
be concerned that rain will reduce the
effectiveness of the treatment. In fact,
moisture, either from rainfall or from
watering, actually improves the performance
of the treatment. A light rain will not
cancel the benefits of a liquid application;
it may actually enhance it. Most often this
applies even in the case of heavy rains.
But, if you feel heavy rain affected the
application, wait a couple of weeks and if
you don’t see the weeds dying, call us and
we’ll come back out.
What do
I, as a customer, do if I am unhappy with
the results?
Answer: Call
us. That’s why we’re here…to help you!
Nobody is perfect. We make mistakes too. A
call to When Nature Calls will put you on
schedule for a visit by your lawn care
specialist. Our job is to serve you. Just a
telephone call, that’s all it takes.
How will
we be billed for the treatments?
Answer: An
invoice will be left at your home on the 1st
service of each month. Payment is due upon
receipt. When Nature Calls also offers you
the opportunity to receive a discount for
prepayment of a year’s worth of scheduled
services.
How long
should it take to service my lawn?
Answer: The
latest equipment and technology allows When
Nature Calls to make applications to your
lawn quickly and efficiently. The savings in
labor through this technology is passed on
to you, the customer. The average lawn in
our area can be sprayed in less than 10
minutes, depending on the number of
obstacles in the lawn, such as flowerbeds,
gardens, sidewalks, and patios.
May I
have extra service for special problems?
Answer: Yes,
When Nature Calls offers additional
services, which include soil test and
analysis, fungicide application for disease
control, and extra insecticide applications
for ticks, ants, and fleas. These special
applications are provided to you at your
request at an additional charge.
Does
When Nature Calls offer other services?
Answer: Yes.
When Nature Calls offers core aeration in
Spring and Fall. Aeration opens the soil
surface for better exchange of air and
moisture as well as deeper penetration of
vital nutrients to the root system.
Spring is
the season for core aeration of warm season
grasses, Bermuda and Zoysia, to allow your
lawn to breathe. When Nature Calls can
perform the core aeration along with your
standard spring application. Fall is the
time for core aeration and overseeding of
cool season grasses, Fescue. Core aeration
of tall Fescue will provide increased turf
density. Overseeding with aeration is
important to insure that a good soil seedbed
is available and to cut down on competition
from weeds.
Fall is the
best time for overseeding and aeration
because of the better establishment
conditions with the cool, moist weather.
When Nature Calls can perform this core
aeration along with your standard fall
fertilizer application to aid in seeding
germination and growth, or as a separate
service. Overseeding with aeration is
important to insure that a good soil seedbed
is available and to cut down on competition
from weeds. Fall is the best time for
overseeding and aeration because of the
better establishment conditions with the
cool, moist weather. The core aeration and
overseeding of your Fescue lawn will be
completed during the months of September and
October.
